Frederick's of Chesterfield have been making the Original 1898 Blend of award-winning real ice cream for four generations since Angelo Frederick moved from Parma, Italy and starting producing quality ice cream in Sheffield in 1898. His son John relocated the company to Chesterfield in 1925.
The past 85 years has seen Frederick’s ice cream become a household favourite throughout the region, sold from its fleet of vans at all sorts of events, from the fondly-remembered octagonal refreshment kiosk in Queen’s Park, Chesterfield and more recently from a top-class café and gelateria in the award-winning Park, another geleteria in Bakewell and historic Thimble Hall in Youlgreave.
Now you can obtain the fabulous taste of Frederick’s from the comfort of your own home, via the internet.
Five flavours are available on-line - Original 1898 Vanilla, Real Italian Chocolate, Strawberry, Bakewell Pudding and Pomegranate Aspire.
You can buy them for delivery to your door to enjoy the supreme taste of Britain’s Best ice cream at its most perfect.
These luxury ice creams aren’t available in any supermarket. Ice-cream bought from a shop inevitably loses some its freshness on the journey home – but Frederick’s arrives at your home or workplace at its best, in our refrigerated vans.
